I create high quality pieces of jewellery. Combining the beautiful with the practical, adding a dash of whimsy to lighten the mood.
I hand-make all my pieces, using traditional methods. I do my own lost wax casting in silver and I make a lot of the tools that I use for texturing and forming.
I’m a self taught jeweller and I have taken evening classes in silversmithing at Truro college. I have won gold, silver and bronze awards at the Goldsmith’s Craft and Design Competition for silverware. Though, I haven’t yet entered a piece of jewellery into the competition!

Becca approaches making jewellery as making future heirlooms, creating timeless pieces that will last as they are worn and treasured for lifetimes. She melds traditional and contemporary practices and designs and her original pieces are handmade in Penryn, near Falmouth using transparently sourced gemstones and traceable gold.
Becca’s piece for Tresor has been inspired by the ancient gold in the museum collection. Exploring the surface texture, tools marks and ancient construction methods used by early goldsmiths.

Rocks of all kinds inspire my one-of-a-kind jewellery. I use a wide variety, from humble beach pebbles, glorious semi-precious gemstones in coastal colours or with amazing inclusions, to rustic diamonds.
Fused organic surfaces take inspiration from rugged cliffs and rocks of the north Cornish coast. Ragged surfaces of slate so prevalent in Cornwall inspire textures, and the beautiful herringbone hedges also serve as inspiration for design, pattern, and texture
My work is strongly influenced by my surroundings, but I also draw inspiration from my Swedish heritage, which brings with it simplicity, functionality, and elegance. My jewellery has been described as Scandi meets Cornish.

My name is Carly and I am a jeweller born and raised in Penzance, Cornwall. Inspired by the molecular structures within crystals and minerals, I translate the mathematical formulas and geometric forms using digital technology to create unique pieces of jewellery. Each piece is 3D printed in white nylon before being hand dyed with silver findings. Digital technology has become integral to my work. I want to create discussion around my jewellery, exploring how science and art can come together, enabling others to be open to new concepts of designs.
